26,000 NYC employees didn’t get paycheck Wednesday due to bank policy changes
“Some 26,000 New York City employees did not get their paycheck Wednesday thanks to a payroll policy change that no one told them about. The problems began when JP Morgan Chase, which handles the city’s payroll, made some policy changes. Those changes caused Municipal Credit Union to stop its policy of allowing city workers who receive direct deposit to get their bi-weekly paychecks on Wednesdays, two days ahead of the designated Friday payday.”
